How long exactly does your hair need to be when going for your first wax? If it’s too short, the wax won’t pick up the hair. The ideal length for most areas is 1cm. If the hair is sparse/thin – 1/2cm is long enough.
If you have been shaving the hair it’s best to grow it a little longer for your first wax. As shaving can make hair regrow tougher so can be a little harder to wax. Therefore, it will be a better result if the hair is a little longer for your first wax. About 12-14 days of regrowth (roughly) is enough. But, everyone’s hair grows at different rates, so just make sure the hair is at least 1cm to be safe.
